There are 2 multi-storey car parks in central Sutton, each of which offer quarterly season tickets at competitive rates. Motorcycles are not permitted to park in the multi-storey car parks as they do not weigh enough to enable the entry & exit barriers to operate safely. The maximum height of a vehicle that can park in a multi-storey car parks is 6ft 6" (1.98 m) There is an out of hours vehicle release fee of £50 +VAT to have your vehicle released outside of the advertised operational hours. Sutton Council has 9 surface car parks throughout the borough which are all situated within walking distance of local businesses and shops. Maximum height for vehiclesThe maximum height for vehicles using the car parks with height barriers is 6' 9" (2.06m). Overnight coach parking is not available. Pay and displayThe car parks operate a pay & display system and enforcement is carried out by Saba (formerly Indigo), which can be contacted on 020 8661 0096, 7 days a week, between 8am and 6.30pm. During these hours you are required to purchase a pay and display ticket from the machine and display it within your vehicle so that it is clearly visible to civil enforcement officers. Failure to do this may result in the issuance of a penalty charge notice (PCN). Locations
Up to 30 minutes free parking is available at Wallington Library car park, however a pay and display ticket must be obtained from the machine on arrival and displayed in your vehicle. Blue Badge holders can park for free in the designated disabled parking bays. Motorcycles can also park for free in the designated motorcycle bays. Sutton's draft sustainable transport strategy addresses the problems caused by petrol and diesel powered vehicles, including air pollution and global warming. As part of our commitment, electric vehicle charging points have been installed in 2 multi-storey car parks: Gibson Road and Times Square shopper's car park which are located in central Sutton. Times Square and Gibson RoadParking is free whilst the car is recharging in the electric bays. The vehicle can be 100% electric or hybrid to qualify for free parking but must be charging. This can be verified by the car being plugged in to a Source London recharging point. The vehicle is only entitled to recharge during the daily operational hours of each car park and must be taken out of the car park at the end of the day. Important: If a vehicle is left in the car park overnight then the vehicle owner should be charged the parking tariff applicable for the additional hours it has been in the car park once fully charged. Surface Car ParksThere are electric vehicle charging points located in Wallington Library, Melbourne Road (Wallington), The Square (Carshalton) and KIngsway Road (Cheam) car parks. Parking is free whilst the vehicle is being recharged, again this can be verified by the vehicle being plugged in to the recharging point. The vehicle can be 100% electric or hybrid to obtain free parking but must be plugged in and charging. No pay and display ticket is required to be displayed. Renewing your multi storey car park season ticketWhen your pass card nears its expiry date the entrance/exit card reader will remind you that you need to renew your quarterly payment. This can be completed at a pay station within the car park by inserting your pass card in the card reader and following the on-screen instructions. Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card. If paying by cash the charge will be rounded up to the nearest 10p as the pay station does not accept lower coin denominations. The pay station will automatically issue a transaction receipt including VAT. Note: The possession of a season ticket does not guarantee the availability of a space at any given time although all reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that spaces are readily available. If necessary a restriction will be placed on the issue of new season tickets. We only operate a quarterly fee scheme at £200 + VAT (£240 including VAT) - no annual season tickets are available.
